We needed this for our generator and it wasn't easy to find so happy for Amazon. The price seems high for an item, but is it really necessary? everything has been running with a generator so far, but there was no power failure to test in the long term.

Works well but plastic breaks easily

They work well but be careful the plastic is very brittle. You have a chance to insert into the old stab lock panel. Works with 6 AWG solid copper. There is a chance the plastic will crack when you try to remove it. Remove by hand only (ie do not use a screwdriver or tools such as pliers). To remove it by hand, you have to remove the surrounding switches and stick your hand in there. Sometimes you may also need to carefully align the "pin" pins before connecting them to the panel. Bought for a new circuit in an old FP case. It had to be removed to re-route the wiring and the spade lugs got stuck. On a large channel, I literally had to flip the switch. One of the lugs got stuck in such a way that the plastic on the breaker broke off, rendering it unusable. It seems to me that this is a plastic quality issue combined with a size tolerance issue.
