Totally worth the high upfront cost

I've been through a number of corporate (Cisco WLC) and home (Linksys Velop) wireless networks and this AP is fantastic. Working with corporate networks, I tested the access point for latency, local bandwidth, etc., and Ubiquiti did a great job. Attached are images of Ubiquiti versus Linksys Velop on the same network. Pros* High bandwidth* Low latency* Reliable signal* AP is better than mesh considering every AP is connected to a wired networkCon* Cost* Pretty hot* Controller required

Pros
  • Slim design

  • Long delivery time

Excellent reliability, important additional information

I've been using this access point on our home network and testbench network for quite some time to ensure I'm comfortable being held accountable for its performance in an office environment. A recent thunderstorm destroyed our church's entire Cisco backbone network (all end-of-life state switches), so I replaced them with UniFi switches and a SHD access point as a test network with a migration plan as Cisco access points . Failure of the entire UniFi system. If you're looking at UAP-AC-HD, just

DO NOT BUY: Computers & Accessories

According to Ubiquiti's own website, the kit does NOT contain some parts that should be included. If you look at the quick start guide it says it should come with some mounting brackets and a PoE injector. Mine came with ONE mount that someone had already attached, no removal tool, and no PoE injector. I suspect they are not genuine or being sold as 'new' despite being incomplete in an open box (hence the significant price difference between this store and ubnt. I will be returning mine.

Excellent coverage and integration Unifi SDN

Incredibly in love with Unifi. They definitely offer the best wireless experience and work great on my Unifi SDN. Absolutely over the top on my 2500 square feet (two stories) and I love it so much. Put it in the middle of my house and it almost reaches my alley which is 40 feet from the house.

NANOHD AP - Awesome

I've converted my home network from two typical consumer-grade "mesh" target cubes into three Ubiquiti hotspots. My network is flawless and I can finally use the spectrum that my neighbors can also use. I do not use it! Wi-Fi now works flawlessly throughout the home and beyond.

Buy now! for Whole Home and Mesh Wi-Fi systems

The best Wi-Fi I have ever used. HANDS DOWN. I just replaced my ASUS GT-AX11000 with (2) WiFi mesh extenders with this WiFi module. I have this problem with UniFi and I only need one AP to cover the same area my ASUS+ 2 Mesh devices used.
