Ideal if you don't have space for a large monitor.

Works great for my mining rig, no monitor needed. Very satisfied, you can easily watch and make changes without connecting a large monitor. The touchscreen eliminates the need for a mouse and keyboard, and instead of having a big monitor or constantly trying to connect to a remote desktop, I can just take a quick look and make sure everything is working as it should.

Does not support native resolution on Raspberry Pi

This display works well enough if you're willing to work at a non-native resolution on your Raspberry Pi. The built-in scaler accepts inputs up to 1920 x 1080, which looks good but is the wrong aspect ratio. However, panel timings don't work for the Raspberry Pi at native 1024 x 600, meaning you always end up with a little less. blurred text. If you update config.txt to display 1024x600, you just get a blank screen. The UCTRONICS instructions and script (available to download from GitHub)…

Good colors, slow panel

*UPDATE* They sent me a replacement very promptly. The replacement panel is much better than the original one that was sent out the first time. Replacing the touchpad worked immediately. Backlight is noticeably lower, but pixels are still sluggish. However, I am very satisfied with the seller's response and the replacement sent. [first panel I got --->] This panel has good colors and a responsive touchscreen. The packaging was good. However, my touchscreen is questionable. Sometimes it…

Great screen for multiple uses

I bought this screen to use Raspberry Pi 4 3D printer software for Octoscreen. It is a 7 inch screen with HDMI port. Power is supplied via the supplied micro USB cable. The other micro USB cable doesn't work, probably due to the different internal wiring, which is very disappointing as the length of the cable that comes with it is very short. It also comes with an HDMI to HDMI adapter, an HDMI to Female to Micro HDMI cable and a detailed user guide. Touch sensitivity is good, colors are vibrant…

Works fine for the most part.

This monitor works well most of the time. And I mean he does exactly what he says and he does it well. But in my case it didn't work. I wanted to use it as a monitor on a Raspberry Pi computer. After much fiddling, I couldn't get it to work at the native 1024x600 resolution. It seems almost impossible. Instead, I opted for a different resolution that was close enough but maintained the aspect ratio. Touch works fine. When I connect it to my tablet, it works great as a second display. I was also

It's a great little touchscreen

I use it as a touch screen for Raspberry PI 4. Control software is linuxcnc. I designed and printed a box that fits my car perfectly. The only caveat is that the vertical resolution is only 600, not 720. The controller accepts almost any input resolution, including 1920 x 1080, and scales it to fit the screen. Linux outputs 720 lines scaled up to 600. Text would look much better if the display originally had 720 lines, or if Linux were reconfigured to display 600 lines.

Good - First of all - Excellent customer support from Arducam - Received a 7 inch UCTRONICS touch screen about 2 weeks ago. I requested drawings/dimensions so I can find someone willing to 3D print the case and they shipped it out right away! Works great, love the rotate screen (button) feature as I (easily) switch between my Pi 3 and Pi 4 devices in my van and in my truck as a backup camera and then as a nature monitor while we're parked. No additional drivers are required. and the monitor is…

Works on my Pi4 in my review

The screen works fine so far, I plan to use this device as a car entertainment system and car diagnostic/tuning center ("PiDash" with OpenAuto and TunerStudio). Angles and higher resolution are key. This screen looks great, better than most car head units I've seen. Colors are vibrant and it supports a high 75Hz refresh rate. Touch input is a bit off, but as some have mentioned, there's probably a way to calibrate it. I initially had "no signal" issues, but they stemmed from the OS I was…

Pooh. Here's an honest review

Everything seems fine, I mean it works, so 3 stars just for that! But it doesn't want to be viewed vertically, and that's the problem. Also, I'm not thrilled about the lack of a back panel/cover, I'm planning to use it with a NAS so I'm a bit worried about dust shorting it out. The stand (two legs) isn't very secure, the included screw doesn't quite hold it in place. Finally, the screen itself is NOT 7 inches, but only 6 inches (6x3.5). If I were you I would consider other options. I think for…

Decent screen, great customer service

The screen is bright and clear, came in good condition, no dead pixels. The touch screen worked perfectly, everything was easy. I had a small issue with my first order and the customer service I received was top notch. After about 6 months, the solder on the power plug seems to have come loose and the screen no longer turns on. Otherwise, it's a great option for a small touchscreen Pi. A few stars are only deducted for durability. I would definitely give it 5 stars and would highly recommend it

Good screen suits me

I wouldn't say it's for gaming, but it's a good screen. No problems connecting to pi4. The only thing I don't like is that the ribbon cable protrudes a bit beyond the frame at the front. Image creation a bit difficult

Cheap quality and overheating

I originally bought it to monitor the temperature and fan speed on my computer as a side/panel monitor but ended up not using it and just left it in a closet. The touchscreen reacts extremely poorly and overheats when touched. The cable that comes with it almost never works and needs constant wiggling/doesn't fit well. I would not recommend you to buy this.

good value mines worked.

Mine has worked out a box with a raspberry pi4. You need to connect the touch function to the pi4 with a USB cable for it to work. The picture quality is excellent. 4k videos look great on it. Retropy games are pretty decent once you set the resolution. It's hard to find an enclosure for it, even a 3D printed one, as the HDMI and USB layouts are different from most 7-inch displays.

Works on Pi 4 - my new review

Works as advertised, no issues on my Pi 4. There are no dead pixels on the screen and it looks very good for my application. The only criticism is the supplied HDMI cable. It's too fragile and already broken. Buy an HDMI micro cable with fewer materials if you intend to use it frequently.

This display worked straight away with a Raspberry Pi 3B. Managed to connect to the Pi's USB port and power it from the Pi. No problem. Haven't used it long enough for 5 stars. That's the only reason for 4 at the moment!
