I changed the review because I found that the connector can be easily disassembled revealing two electrodes still connected to the wall. EXTREMELY dangerous, especially for children and pets. This is a waiting fire and the item should not be sold in the United States!

So I was looking for a USB-C power button for a non-Pi device. Here's what I found out after some wiring and digging. In short, this cable works for the Pi but is not compatible with other USB-C devices that use USB Power Deliver (PD). This may seem like a minor issue, but in the listing picture the adapter cable that came with the white power supply was also white. The adapter cable that came with my white power supply was black. However, the adapter's black cable isn't world-crunching, it serves its purpose, and that's the most important thing.

I'm using this on my Raspberry Pi 3b with a 3.5 inch screen. The photo shows that it reports an undervoltage error. 3 amps would probably be enough, but it's not. I have a larger 3A 5 volt power supply and it works great. I would not recommend this product.

I bought this to use with xfinity flex which is usb c powered and I need to reset it regularly so I installed it behind my TV. This switch doesn't work to turn the box off, so I tried it on a phone cord and it doesn't work there either. I don't know if they use different power connectors or if the switch I have was defective.

I ordered white, received a white stone that doesn't quite match the picture and a black USB-C cable. Bought for Raspberry Pi 400. Plugged in and it seems to have enough amps to avoid lightning. Haven't loaded it yet to be safe.

I wanted to use it as a switch for raspberry pi connected to USB-C power bank battery. Everything works when I use the USB-C cable, but when I connect this cable there is no power. So this cable will not work with Rpi. When I tried plugging it into my phone charger to see if it worked at all, the phone showed a message saying the cable connection was bad.
