Great as expected from UGREEN but mine is getting really hot

I have a lot of experience ordering UGREEN products including working directly with the Shenzhen HQ on large B2B orders. Their build quality is exceptional, but you pay more for it. I am willing to pay a higher price for their branded products; Although this USB-C hub is well built and lightweight, it gets pretty hot after only 4 hours of use on my MacBook. I'm starting to wonder if the device I received might have been defective.

Spotty connections, frustrating

I don't know if it's my range or combination of devices, but the connections are very unstable. I have an iPhone stand, remote speakers, and a remote drive that all connect and disconnect randomly. Sometimes the speaker shows power but doesn't register as an audio device (but works fine with another hub), and the drive throws some "disk not ejected properly" warnings indicating multiple plugging and unplugging during the course. Day. I love the design but it just doesn't work effectively.

Maybe my Macbook Pro is stuck on shutdown.

I spent many hours actually 4 months including with Apple technicians to figure out why my 2020 Macbook Pro won't turn off completely. I reset SMC and NVRAM, uninstalled antivirus software and more. Reliable device with excellent quality - Small problem

I have been using UGREEN products for over 4 years and I am very satisfied with their quality and durability. Got it for my Surface Pro 7 and it worked great as always. I strongly recommend this. The only problem with this new model is the short Type-C cable, especially on Surface laptops, it hangs down at the top of the connector (see pictures). UGREEN support, if you're reading this, try adding a small C-type extender to the package (and please send it to me if possible!).

Good but wonky under Computers and Accessories

I connected this to my Macbook Air running Big Sur with an ethernet connection and a VGA connection, sometimes using the USB ports. In general, the adapter works fine: the Ethernet connection is stable, but the only problem is the VGA connection. After the computer goes to sleep, it is often not possible to wake it up and turn on the external monitor by clicking the keyboard or mouse. Less elegant than its predecessor, but more functional

I had two hubs from different manufacturers, both of which were not working properly. The UGREEN hub is a bit bigger than them, with no protective case and no power LED, but it works and supports my Plantronics BT600 adapter and microSD cards. A unique feature is that the USB-C cable folds under the hub and snaps into the notch for easy portability. Ethernet port not working + Strange buzzing

I bought this hub on purpose because it had a full-size (ie non-swivelling) ethernet port. I wish the VGA port had been replaced with something more modern and useful, but my plan was to just use two USB ports and an Ethernet port. Well, the ethernet port was completely non-functional. Works well. A few minor complaints.

Works well but I have a few minor complaints. As previously mentioned, the USB-C cable that plugs into your laptop is hardwired to the device. So if that cable ever fails, the device becomes unusable. As others have pointed out, the hard wire is also fairly short. It would be better if the cable wasn't hardwired directly to the device, but could plug and unplug and be longer. But my biggest disappointment comes with the two video outputs (ie 1 HDMI and 1 VGA).
