ULAK Retina Shockproof Protective Kickstand Review

My 8 year old had an iPad Mini2 in a very bulky shock case for a gift so had to upgrade it. This case was inexpensive, looked cool (which is very important) and still offered good protection. It took about 3 minutes to assemble and he was very happy to get a more modern case. It has a small rubber plug covering the charging port and if I were against it I'd take a razor blade and cut that part off, but it doesn't seem to bother it at all. 5 Stars.

Overall I thought it was a good deal for the price. Essentially Otter, but at a lower price point. I just needed a little protection from my young children. It's adequate protection and I think it's a fair price. There are a few cons that are pickier than deal breakers. I only took one star off them so leave that as a hint that they don't matter much. I love these iPad cases. I bought these for my kids because they abuse the iPad. We have used 2 or 3 different iPad cases (different brands) in the past before buying these and with these other cases they only last a couple of weeks before something breaks and needs replacing. We've had these iPad cases for almost a year now and they're still holding up very well. I highly recommend them!

Pleasantly surprised! I always use Otter Box products to protect my iPads. I have an old mini air that still works great but costs less than a new Otterbox. If you keep dropping your iPad, need maximum protection or are looking for a case for a toddler then look further. This is a $13 suitcase, not a $70 Otterbox. It probably won't protect your iPad from falling from a second floor, and given enough time, a small child will probably break it somehow. I bought this case because I use the iPad Mini a lot in the field and the old flip case got in the way of my work. In this case I have easy access to all buttons and can take notes, charge my camera and take photos much faster. In addition, the robust case offers sufficient protection for the iPad, which is absolutely necessary for my work as my hands are busy most of the time (and I often drop the iPad). I will definitely buy this iPad case again if needed.
