Powerful little pump

Got one of these for my 120 gallon reef tank. Holy crap. It does a great job of moving my sand bed. Even on the slowest settings, it's still an extremely powerful stream. Recommend a strategic direction of flow or punch a hole right in the aquarium pane. 4 stars only because the parameters of the "Damn, and GOD DAMN" river

You decide. - water pumps

It worked for me for almost a year and it decided to change the flow killing a couple of my fish rendering it useless and no response from the email of the Customer supports, so I'm only giving it 1 star. But knowing this can happen I recommend wearing tights to keep the fish from getting in there. After that I just got fed up with them, stopped using them and wouldn't buy anything they do again. I decided to buy a $300 Wavemaker for better support and I have no regrets.

Perfect with a little modification

Great wave generator for the money, definitely does its job well and increases circulation in the tank. Upgraded to 3400gph from two smaller 1200gph and all I have to say is FUCK. I couldn't be more impressed. The only downside I could find was that the prop cover has very large gaps. I've read some reviews of people saying they put on pantyhose to prevent fish from being sucked into their sinking, but I didn't like the idea of having panties in my fish tank, let alone cosmetics. With a little…

***UPDATE*** - After 72 hours I have decided to return the W-40 to the W-25. Anything less than a constant 30% is way too much for my 70 gallon tank, but I want to rotate. After 36 hours so far so good but still tracking. W-40 set to minimum setting, 30% sine, revs too much for my 70 gallon (52 x 31 x 13) tank. Recommend W-25 for anything under 100 gallons. I bought a pump motor power that will never be used. Too bad there was no time setting for "feeding mode" as I use automatic feeding 2…

Good product! - Water pumps

Best shaft generator I have ever bought. these two i used two marineland maxi jet 1200, they are also quite powerful but without controller i bought sensitive fish recently so need adjustable power of wave generators, with this controller i can pattern, change power and it has feeding mode and a light sensor, haven't tested it yet, but it should work fine. It's super convenient for a magnet when you have a deep tank, when setting up, sometimes you can't reach the bottom of the tank with your…

too strong for my 90 gallon

I bought this for my freshwater 90 gallon as there were dead spots and I wanted more circulation. Well let me just say that's a lot of power for my 90. At the bottom my fish looked like it got caught in a hurricane lol. It was quiet and the mounting magnets were strong enough to keep it in place, build quality seemed good too. However, the controls left a lot to be desired. I personally would like the power scale for frequency to be the same as this and the ability to go from zero to full power

Cheap Waves! on Fish & Aquatic Pets

I got these in addition to my 1mp40 set at 60% in reef crest mode (yellow). A few things: Pros: 1. These things move water! Enough to shake all my sand in a 105g aquarium. I bought to increase the flow of SPS corals and the 2 I got are more than enough.2. Mods work fine. Wave mode (2) is really good. Can control pulse and wave strength. Set mine up so it doesn't slosh across the surface but still has good back and forth movement. Cons: Modes 3 and 4 do not use cruise control. So if you need…

Dynomite Dynamite priced at

First I give 4*+-1* due to the size of the gap in the wheel housing. The distance is very long and I lost my part of the cattle because the powerhead has such a long distance in the guards. On the plus side, this shaft generator does more than you would expect from a shaft generator at this price point. it moves a lot of water, and I'll say it again, it moves a lot of water. It is not intended for a small tank. This is a 300 gallon tank and moves water throughout the tank. I installed it about…

This is a great wave maker. The included bracket has a .

Excellent wave generator. The mount it comes in has rubber vibration isolation which makes it very quiet. However, it makes a noise that resembles a faint ringing in the ears. After a while you don't even hear it anymore. I have a W-25 model in a 75 gram tank, 48 inches long, 18 inches wide and 22 inches deep and I think it works great! I would like to point out how strong the magnets are. When installing, position the wave generator where you want it, place an external magnet on the glass a…
