Housing processing, fit, everything in order. The only thing that isn't great. The fan didn't even last 2 weeks as it started making noise and then failed.

Use Raspberry PI on my 3D printer which is in a heated case. There is no problem installing an aluminum case on the PI 3B+. Run Octoprint and no more high temperature alerts. Bought additional sleeves for other printers.

Quality control can be improved. The holes weren't drilled all the way, and worse, the holes were in the wrong place. The holes should be in the flat parts so the heads of the fasteners are flush with the floor.

Overall I'm impressed with the fit and finish. Details appear high-quality and finely worked. The screws are fully tightened and all contact surfaces are flush. The case dissipates heat well (I have a fanless version), there were several extra thermal pads in the kit.

This is now my favorite "case" for pi. I will most likely buy more of these. I'm using my Pi as a jellyfin server. Before this incident the Pi was getting very hot, I don't know the exact temperature but it should have been close to the overheat warning. With the case, I control my temperature at 39.2°C while playing videos. The fans are absolutely silent and the installation was easy.

Be careful using correct thickness heating pads. The product is designed for several "versions" of the Raspberry B, and the manufacturer offers several heating pads. For Model 3 B (not Plus), the protrusion of the processor chip heatsink DOES NOT touch (DOES NOT CONDUCT HEAT) when using only thick or thin standoffs. My 3B required BOTH a large square, thick and thin, to make contact. Just make sure you remove the protective cover from the thermal pad. There are two more standoffs for my 3B: A…
