Bought because I accidentally threw away the metal plate that came with my mount. Let me tell you, this thing stuck in my phone case is tighter than the trapped souls of the 7th layer of the underworld. I accidentally put it on at an angle and tried to pry it open to straighten it, but this glue stuck to my phone better than my attachment to emotionally unavailable guys. Thank you glue maker, finally something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. And I have an extra 7 to use later…

I wish I could give it zero stars. It had to be magnetic. What I received wasn't even remotely magnetic. I tried them with fridge magnets to see if they would stick (thought maybe there was something wrong with my new ring) but that didn't work either. They wouldn't attach to the case, ring holder, fridge magnets or anything else. Waste of money but got my money back. Maybe you have better luck. I obviously received something defective or the wrong item. Anyway I don't recommend it.

I have two main issues with this: 1) glue and 2) thickness. First, the glue on the back doesn't hold. In general. It came off the first time I used it. I ended up removing the glue and used Gorilla Glue. Problem solved. The second issue was the thickness of the metal. Although the magnet works with these plates, the metal is too thin. As the outer rubber around the Otter Defender covers deteriorates over time I have to replace these covers every 6 months or so just to Get a new fuselage outer rubber part. I needed a new magnet so I can continue using my car phone holder and this item is very economical. A few years ago I bought a car magnet to use GPS on my phone. mine is new After that I could never get it to stop and tried using different types of super glue but to no avail. I ended up loosely fitting the metal plate into the phone case and it held magnetically but kept slipping off.
