It works, but it's marginal

Of course it works. How else? It's not easy to get hooked on and requires quite a fine adjustment of the clamp screw to get it right. Not too tight and not too loose. For the rider on a budget, this is just the ticket. I can't speak to its strength or durability, but it works. Would I buy again? May be.

Provides a quick hand and wrist warm-up

Quick and easy installation. It is best to stretch the rubber ring a bit before attempting to install it. After pre-stretching, the ring is easy to put on. It takes some adjustment to get the right amount of pressure to maintain a consistent speed, but it works and allows for some stretching and relaxation in the arm while riding. Great product at a great price.

Can hold better tension and has rubber coating to hit the brake lever.

I only give 3 stars as I have a cheap plastic one I replaced it with this one. Cheap plastic had no tension adjustment and worked 100%. This one almost as hard as I dare crank accidentally drops the throttle. Also be careful if you have painted/coated the brake lever, the metal on it will peel off the paint. I had to wrap it with rubber tape and repaint the brake lever.

Good product! for throttle body

We bought this before we did a 2100 mile bike ride on our 2008 V-Star 1100. It was definitely necessary and worked great. My husband was very happy that I could give him a break! We previously bought a $180 throttle lock that didn't work at all and had to be removed from the bike for safety. We didn't want to spend money on products that wouldn't work, so we decided to give it a try as it was so cheap. This item was a much better product and at a much better price!

Great for the price

I used it all over Michigan over the weekend so I could see how it worked before writing a review. For what you pay it's really good. You need to find a middle ground in tension so that it will hold speed for a while so you can give your gas a rest and you need to tighten it from time to time. You may need a better quality rubber washer. I wouldn't want to use it on a long cross-country trip, most likely I'd take an Atlas for such a trip. But for the occasional pause to shake out your right…

Doesn't work at all

This is a scam, I think most of the reviews are fake. This throttle control thing is very dangerous as you will be messing with it while driving. I've tightened the nut so tight I can't loosen it without a wrench and the bike's throttle still rolls forward. In fact, this probably won't work on any size bike since spring tension is generally the same for all except lighter small scooters and off-road bikes. 1 of the rubber rings you see also broke right after installation. Do not buy this…

worked almost best in Throttles

hey I'm not completely breaking this product but I remember reading another review that said it worked but didn't, because it doesn't last for long speeds. I had the same results but it worked, gave me enough relief by holding the throttle and I just had to keep dropping it. I did an 800 mile trip from Atlanta GA to Key West FL so this contributed to the rubber band breaking on day one, but it comes with two bands which I have with large Arlenness dip cut grips , so those bands have stretched a

It seems to work. Not bad for the price.

This item really worked. I've used it for about 500 miles but had a few issues. At first it never seemed like you could tighten the screw enough that the unit wouldn't vibrate slowly when you released the throttle. Second, the rubber strap that came with the kit broke. This strap was a great fit for the product as it had raised edges to keep the device in place. Without them, the unit always wanted to turn sideways. I've tried several other rubber bands with limited success. Third, the hinge…
