I bought this item twice hoping the first order was just a mistake. This item does not have a 2.5mm tube as advertised, it has a 3.5mm tube. The second replacement element was the same.

I ordered it with hesitation as the picture is not a Pioneer microphone but the description says it will work. Of course this is a standard 3.5mm BT mic and will NOT work with a Pioneer radio. Finally got a return label and got my money back quickly.

I bought this to replace a missing Pioneer microphone (customers be careful when buying open packaging!). Followed the instructions on YouTube for installation (not from this manufacturer). I called, the boy said he could hear me fine. The mine is mounted on the headliner behind the rear-view mirror.

Thanks to this device I can now use the hands-free microphone in the car while driving and I did it myself. It was very easy and I'm not a car person. You need tools and some patience to connect it, it needs to be plugged into the back of the car radio, then the wires are hidden in the panel and dashboard, but on my Acura MDX it's very easy. I LOVE this device.

Arrived quickly, as described. Very long cable, easy to connect. The clip feels a bit flimsy and my visors are very thick so I chose not to use the clip. Instead, it juts out of the dash just above the radio (where it fits), both of which are black so it's barely noticeable. Test calls in the car worked perfectly. I will order more if needed.

Assembly was easy, lots of mounting options with the attached clip. The extra long cable came in handy for routing cables and microphone. out of the way of any obstacles in the dashboard. The downside is that the mic emits a random buzz that the person I'm speaking to can hear, it's not constant but it happens 9 out of 10 calls. I will contact the seller to see if the wiring can cause interference or noise.
