miracle supplement!

I would give more than 5***** if I could and would have already ordered a second bag so I never go without a refill. I have a large 12 year old dog and although I cook liver, ground turkey, ground beef and rice for her, she is very picky about her food. She also had CCL surgery on both hind legs about 8 years ago and with her age she has difficulty walking and prefers one of her hind legs. I started adding half a tablespoon of bonemeal to her meals and now she devours it with gusto. My dog…

Caution with extreme allergies/yeast problems?

Our Veim has big problems with allergies and yeasts (red paw cycles or worse, red ears, infections that come and go, especially in spring - Zymox has worked well for the ears but the paws are another Matter ). I was going to love this product and dogs go crazy for it but unfortunately it developed hives like patches a few days later. We used to feed him human-grade bone meal with no problem. This product ended up feeding our garden (which was a whole different issue as the dogs chased it for 5…

Made my dogs sick and lethargic

I have 3 dogs that I cook home cooked food for and bought this as a supplement. Added to food as instructed. Used for a month and dogs seem unwell and not energetic. Read some of the reviews and read that the same happened to others. I stopped using it for 2 weeks and the dog's energy and strength returned to normal. I tried again for a week and again experienced a drop in energy so I stopped using it. Also noticed mixed contaminants like hair (about 1 inch long, like pig hair). It's pork bone…

No lab results but taste test results - 5 stars!

I don't know what this product will bring in terms of nutritional value because I just received it but I could hardly open it because my cat didn't push me to try it myself to open to get it faster to do this! It looks like a quality product although I have no comparison (never bought a bone meal product before) but it is a rich deep brown color, has a real smell - meaning not unpleasant, but not odorless either ---- and as said b4, my cat definitely gives 4 paws UP for "I want it NEOWWWWW!" I…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say

First of all, the thing is *brown*. Not white, but *brown*. And smelly, harmless. My dogs (who eat raw) jump up and down when they first smell it. I held the bag open for them to sniff and they all stuck their noses in and started licking it dry! The reason I bought this product is because I have a friend who is interested in deer hunting and this year he brought me enough deer offal to feed my dogs for six months! I easily dehydrate the liver and other organs for their treats, so I cover some…
