Description of US Forge Welding Electrode πŸ”₯ E6013: 1/8-Inch x 14-Inch, 5lb Box (#51333)

General purpose electrode for mild steel electrode, excellent for light gauge work, all position. Best electrode available for vertical and overhead welding. Use for general production and repair work, for thin sections and sheet metal. For farm, industrial and construction where light fabrication and repair work is performed on a regular basis.

Electrode "Excellent "

Melts like butter, pleasant smell, low price. Got it! You can't regret it. They are several times cheaper than anything else at my local weld shop.

Pros
  • For general manufacturing and repair work, for thin sections and sheet metal
Cons
  • Weight

Good wand for sheet metal

This is a good wand for thin sheet metal and thin material with low current. I further reduced the amperage, and the lower I set the amperage, the fewer breakouts I experienced. I even decided to try it on my 40 year old Chevy Plow truck by welding the side mirrors to the doors instead of bolting them on. Worked great. Of course, you need to understand that the metal on the door is thicker than some modern frames.

Pros
  • General purpose mild steel electrode, ideal for thin sheet metal, all positions
Cons
  • Difficult to tell

Works great and I'm just getting started

I bought this to learn stick welding. Bought for an old Miller AC 225A and the material welded great, had no arc starting problems, removed slag easily and I beaded with a great clean look. I've only had problems trying to fillet thin, unsuitable steel, I've blown holes everywhere. I ordered a thinner 3/32 and it solved most of the problems.

Pros
  • The best electrode for vertical and overhead welding
Cons
  • Not bad but...
