Power adapter not included

This product is advertised as a self powered USB hub which implies a power source. In fact, the manufacturer claims it's in the questions section. The unit has a mini USB-B connector which I believe is powered* (no instructions included) but NO AC adapter provided. I contacted the manufacturer and they just said I could request a return - no help I already knew that.

Don't worry, my devices weren't getting power. I even got a second one.

I was looking for a USB hub that I could plug into the wall and then connect all my USB powered devices to (e.g. charge phones, speakers, etc). The small blue lights that indicate power will light up. However, my devices receive little to no power. If this were labeled as a hub splitter and not powered I'd understand, but that's not what it's designed for. So I sent the hub back thinking I had a defective one, but no. The second device simply had no power supply for all connected devices. So…

Works well with Apple Mac Mini

I have an old Mac mini with Type A USB ports. I needed more ports than the back of the computer provided. This hub works perfectly and I just hid it behind my computer. I like separate slide switches that I can use to turn off some infrequently used accessories like my faxmodem. It seems well done.

Misleading product name, regular device

The name says 'Powered USB Hub' but no cable is included. It accepts the micro USB power adapter on the wall. Hopefully you have one left over from an old phone or something as it doesn't come with cables to power it which I find extremely misleading. The device itself is compact, very light and should work fine once switched on.

Cheap! Fell apart in a few days

Fell apart in 3-4 days after plugging and unplugging less than 10 USB ports. The plastic looks like a cheap dollar toy. The 2 halves will not connect. Bought 2, used 1, both sent back. Bought a branded Revain Sabrent for $1 or $2 more and the quality is great in comparison.
