Pay twice as much as this device and save time and hassle. Not satisfied

The documentation and user interface are terrible. This product was a real underdog for me. I went and bought a similar box for twice the price in US Converters? or something like that. It was double the price but it was worth it to have the instructions and interface written in English. If you are interested in this product I will sell you mine for $5 because I can't return it and I don't want to throw it away. There. Anger comes from pain. It hurts me that someone would put junk like thisโ€ฆ

Not for Allen Bradley

Bought because I saw someone posted a review about using it with the slc500. It doesn't work with Allen Bradley. Rslinx doesn't even recognize this thing. And the photo of someone using it with slc 500 plc is wrong. The way it's connected doesn't even work because you need a Tx-Rx connection. By connecting it directly to the PLC it is Tx to Tx and Rx to Rx. Post this so someone doesn't use it for this purpose. It might be useful for something else, but not Allen Bradley. Your computerโ€ฆ

Great for older PLCs

This is for use with an ALLEN BRADLEY SLC 5/04 PLC processor. I had to take it out of the metal case because I didn't have a male to female DB9 cable at the time. It didn't work at first because I had a null modem adapter between usr and the cpu. The pinout in the manual for usr led me to believe that I needed to reverse the Rx and Tx lines. But after removing the zero adapter everything worked. Either it was wrong or my PLC pinout was wrong. I set it up with a static IP address on my homeโ€ฆ
