The product is good, the packaging is not very good.

I used this to replace the sound deadening foam in an old outboard motor. It's definitely quieter than factory foam. However, the packaging was far from perfect. It was folded and folded into a box. These are stretched and deformed sections of the pad. I was able to work around this due to the size of the fairing, but if I were working on something large it would be a problem. Self-adhesive is good, but I still used contact cement and that made this pad essentially non-removable. In summary…

  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

easy to work with, sticks well and (hopefully) good R-factor

It was really easy to insulate my RV's doors and engine cover. It took me about 5 minutes to remove the door panel and another 30 minutes to cut and shape the insulation. Then allow about 10-15 minutes to slowly peel off the paper and stick it on the door. My doors are pretty flat so I had to cut a few more pieces to fit here. and do it 100%. and 5 minutes later I put the door panel back on. I can already say that the noise in the cabin is much lower. I am planning to travel to the upper…

Haven't installed it yet, but looks like it.

Three stars because I HATE it when Chinese marketing departments try to write catchphrases "Please clean the surface to be taped" Really? But this "adhesive tape strengthens the effect of the connection". That made me wary, but hey - I can't write a word of Chinese - except I don't try. I've looked at the adhesive system used and I can already tell you that I will definitely be using additional aluminum tape and/or silicone adhesive/liquid nail glue over my RV's engine (the 'dog kennel' in the…

Excellent product: Case

For the money this product gets 5 stars but I should consider it based on the features/functionality and not the price. Aluminum is quite thin and breaks easily, so care must be taken when installing it. The adhesive on the back isn't very sticky and I doubt it will last long, so I recommend getting some kind of adhesive and applying it to the surface you intend to apply it to prior to installation. I also reused original hood clips and threaded them through this product to keep it running. If…

The description is wrong and the seller doesn't reply

Maybe insulate the door in the car or something. But the product description here promises "excellent fire resistance”. What a complete lie! I bought this item to protect my roof from an underlying gas heater that was radiating a very high temperature. But when I checked the fire resistance again, it turned out that the foil was paper (instead of "excellent fire resistance"). very small fire from my lighter PS I wrote all these details to the seller and they promised to verify the information…

Great hood material. Not the same as uxcell 391 mil 16.36 sq ft

This is totally different from their material with the exact same description but half the size. This material can be found on uxcell 391 mil 16.36 sq. feet, and it's a sheet of mylar with 1/2 inch fiberglass behind it. It is extremely heat resistant. THIS, on the other hand, is 5/8" thick. , a memory foam material with a multi-layer Mylar facestock and a mesh of durable and lightweight material sandwiched between the layers. It might be just as good a heat shield as the other, not sure but…
