Adhesive not very strong

Adhesive backing didn't work. I had to use seam sealing to attach the product to the firewall, which made installation difficult.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Aesthetically unappealing due to severe fouling distortion.

This product is packed in several boxes. It is not a roll as pictured. It says it's folded, but be aware that it really does crumple and isn't suitable for a display space like the underhood lining I bought it for.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Installation difficulties, but it works.

I used this on a 3D printer case as it is rated for higher temperatures. It's also the same material that came as "heated insulation" so it sticks well at 100C. Note: It smells really bad. Just install it outdoors or you'll feel your brain cells fry.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Periodicity

Not folded but folded - still works.

Very good material, thick, it is used to insulate the back wall of the camper where the LP fridge freezer will be installed. Lots of thick reflective material and foam provide some sound isolation for anyone using it for this purpose. I'm considering placing another order as there are other places this might come in handy.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Small problems

Adhesive won't rub off at moderate temperatures

Rolled in last night. Cut it into rectangles to ease the tension. As I was gluing the panels, one of them fell off. When I woke up I saw that some of them had fallen in the night. The car is in the shadow and has been covered with heat paint. Therefore, the car is cooler than outside. The glue doesn't hold. Now I have to buy tape to make sure they don't fall on the headliner.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Adhesive based thermal protection, works great!

Purchased to replace the factory heat shield on a modified turbocharged vehicle that is producing more heat than normal. The factory heat shield collapsed, sagged and was no longer an effective heat and sound barrier. This adhesive screen stayed intact, fully adhered to my hood and reduced the amount of heat emitted by my hood by about 20% as measured by an infrared thermometer. I recommend.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • unreliable

It's easy to work with and adheres well

I installed it on the underside of the hood of my UTV. The engine is located between the seats, which makes it noisy and the cabin heats up a lot. I removed the panels, cleaned and then attached this cover. This greatly reduces heat and noise! Even when driving in the rain and mud, the mat still adheres well to the plastic and does not seem to fall apart. I've worn it for about a month or two and ridden about 300 miles and so far I'm very happy.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • No

My car is a little quieter. some.

That was my alternative to the heat shield, which was no longer worth saving on my Mini Cooper. As I was replacing the exhaust with a Milltek Kat exhaust I knew it was going to be a bit noisy in the car and it wouldn't be worth replacing the heat shield as 1, with that new exhaust in the rear it wouldn't be needed. end of the car and 2, the heat shield would not reduce the noise. The rubber was easy to cut and the grip was good but not great. It took a while for him to stay. Once I held it for…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
