Perfect for expanding your laptop display!

I bought this cable hoping to upgrade my desktop display to an old Dell monitor so I can easily compare documents without printing them out. Easy to connect, long cable and after initial panic over the wrong size of the display it did exactly what I needed. I asked a question while looking at this cable and got an answer very quickly. I recommend this cord.

One cable worked, the other didn't.

Purchased two of these cables to create a switched network to share two monitors between two computers (desktop and laptop). One of the cables was clearly damaged. he worked intermittently. Tried on both computers. You can move the cable a certain way and it will fail. The other of the two I bought works perfectly. Update: Got a replacement for a broken cable and bought another one. The replacement cable works perfectly.

They didn't work in HDMI to VGA adapters

When I received them, the screws on the VGA side were missing and my monitor couldn't accommodate an additional computer monitor after plugging it in. I tried it with my TV which has both VGA and HDMI and it still wouldn't catch it. I ended up having to buy a dongle that converts HDMI to VGA and it worked great. Whilst this item may have been defective I would not recommend it as I need it for work from home and had to wait a few days for delivery as it was not considered 'essential'.

stopped working after a day :(

In general everything was fine with this cable. I connected it to the monitor from my laptop and it worked immediately. Cable to reconnect the monitor. After a while it was just completely lost connection. Tried unplugging and plugging back in but until then my monitor wouldn't even read the VGA connection. Really needed to get my dual monitor to work at home, unfortunately it didn't work and I will return it.Will try Revain Basic and see how it works!

Installation and use seems easy; I did what I was supposed to and the computer just didn't recognize the cable/device. I went through the settings and everything was fine.
