I love this spork! suitable for camping and hiking

First time using Spork but bought for work; not necessarily outdoors (although I'll consider its usefulness for such a future scenario!). And I needed dishes that I could use regularly as the only utensil for stirring coffee and/or food at the table. Works great, stylish and lightweight. Thank you!

Vargo is my favorite spork

I ordered the Vargo version at the same time as Spork Toaks. I liked the look and feel of the Vargos pen. I prefer Vargo because it feels like I'm holding traditional utensils, while the texture of the Toaks handle gives me the tactile sensation of holding something far less essential, like a plastic fork. Both are qualitatively identical, the only real difference is the design of the handles. For some reason, Vargo just "feels" right, even heavier than stainless steel, when actually it's notโ€ฆ

My Favorite Cookware

I reviewed several Sporks before deciding on these. Other spoons I've seen in sporting goods stores usually have some kind of pitted surface (especially the fancy colored ones) and edges that don't appear to have been filed (sharp edges). others have the tines long enough for tasks like shredding a chicken (I usually do this with a fork) but feel "wrong" enough to get the last bit of soup off the bottom of the bowl. happy with these sporks and will buy more if i ever have a loss or reason toโ€ฆ

The best fork in the multiverse

No other fork can match the comfort, versatility, practicality and durability of the Vargo Titanium. I bought my first many years ago for lunch on the go and have bought a few more as I've lost a few over the years. I love that it's light, flavorless, strong and attractive, with a deep enough bowl and sharp teeth to use it for slicing vegetables or meat, allowing it to handle both soup and salad with ease. It won't stain products like turmeric and doesn't smell like garlic. I keep one in myโ€ฆ

Perfect ergonomics! ! !

I tried it and liked the Snowpeak Titanium Sport but the grip was too narrow. This spork has a wider grip. The mouthpiece is about the same EXCEPT: the entire surface is polished to a mirror finish. Let's go through the microscope lens. If you were Mr. Bacteria, what better place to hold on to? Matt or polished? The teeth are slightly shorter but sharper. It fits my mouth perfectly. Holds a good portion. The handle fits perfectly in the hand. When I hold it, the bottom notch rests on my middleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Reliable

The Vargo Titanium Spork is an excellent choice for relatively light, very strong and very functional hiking gear. While not the lightest fork on the market, it is one of the best in terms of ease of use and comfort. Titanium is polished to a smooth finish, making it more comfortable to eat (and easier to clean) than other titanium chalk/scratch utensils. The bowl of the spoon is big enough for you to hold enough sized pieces of food, but not too big. The fork tines are fairly effective, if not

Differs in simplicity. and that's why it's great!

I bought this spork after reading some reviews and watching some videos. To be honest, I was initially skeptical about the idea of Spork. I bought it about 6 months ago and wasn't very impressed. It turns out. It was my fault. I ordered a product that had a fork on one end and a spoon on the other (like no spatula!). I decided to buy a Vargo titanium spatula as an experiment for my (3) sons and myself to use as "everyone's tool" at home and on the go. Let me say that we were very surprised atโ€ฆ
