I had an old monitor that only had a DVI input. I wanted to run a Chrome Stick on it, but it only had an HDMI output, so I bought this converter. I was afraid that the picture might be blurry, but the converter did a great job! The picture is sharp and clear, as if the monitor really supports 1080P! Since my monitor doesn't support audio, the converter is ideal for outputting audio to an external speaker set. Great product, works as advertised!

Works very well for using an old DVI only monitor as a video game screen and Chromecast (v2). The only thing that bothered me was that no matter how hard I tried, it was very difficult to determine in advance which inputs would be compatible with my monitor (1440x900 native). My old Sony Blu-ray player didn't work with it, but I was able to connect NES Classic, SNES Classic, GameCube (with special digital to HDMI adapter) and Chromecast v2 to it.

Bought this HDMI-DVI to use with Roku Premiere+ and my old DLP TV. When I used the Roku's HDMI output converter, my screen took on a purple tint. I bought 3 Roku Premiere+ converters to replace rented cable boxes and use the Xfinity Beta app to watch cable channels. I tried HDMI from one of the other Roku Premiere+ and got the same magenta image on my TV.
