Compatibility - This oil filter socket is designed to fit vehicles equipped with a 32mm cartridge style oil filter housing such as Ecotec and TDI engines. compatible models include: Equinox, Cobalt, Golf, HHR, G6. Low Profile – Fuel filter and oil filter caps are often located in areas with little clearance. The low-profile design allows the low profile oil filter wrench to reach filter cartridges in tight spaces. Superior Design – The 6-point hex features rounded corners to create a tighter fit while also preventing the 32mm wrench from binding or rounding off the filter canister. Built To Last – The oil filter cap wrench is crafted from chrome-vanadium (CR-V) steel. This 32mm oil filter socket will not yield under high torque applications. What your GM demands

I am not a GM/Chevy fan, but some of my kids are. This socket is required to reach the poorly located oil filter element cap. The tool works exactly as described, and needed, for accessing and removing/reinstalling the oil filter element cap. If you have a GM you likely need one of these.

For oil change is perfect!

This socket it's really hard to find, I had to pay to get the oil change for a while because the 2011 Chevy Malibu the oil filter top is under a metal tube so the longer one wouldn't fit, so this one was perfect, I recommend it

This is the tool. Hands down.

I do not want to imagine doing an oil filter change on a GM ecotec engine with out this tool.Fit is great, strong and durable. If I dont loose it, this tool will out last me.

makes job much easier

Oil cartridge can be changed without this socket, but this socket saves time, agrevation of finding wrench or device to loosen and retighten and is every bit worth the money

Does the job.: my feedback

Bought for a 2015 Buick Verano oil filter cap. If anyone has ever done an oil change on a Verano you know how much of a pain in the a** getting to the oil filter cap is. This works perfectly with an angle socket attachment. That said it is a bit pricey for one single socket.

Yeah, this works real well. It kinda sucks you have to have a special socket to remove/replace oil filter but that’s on the frickin engineer at GM. SMDH! 🤦‍♂️ Beats snap on price.

works on my 2020 VW TIGUAN

This tool worked perfectly for replacing the oil filter on my 2020 VW TIGUAN. This tool should be used with hand tools NOT impact/air tools.

Perfect for VW TDI Engines, and Other Engines where Filter Access is a Challenge.

This has a low profile that fits under other hardware to removed the oil filter on a VW TDI diesel engine. A standard 32mm socket is too tall. This is also a 6 point socket, which grips more of the filter lid than does a 12 point.
