Good heater for the price

The heater can wear out but the water sometimes isn't the temperature I set the heater to. This is a great heater for the money you are spending. The suction isn't the best, but my turtles love to lie next to it, so they usually knock them over. Good for what you pay.

  • Great for outdoor activities

This is a good buy for fish and aquatic animals

Have a 75 gallon tank right next to a large window and my house stays 65 degrees inside so this thing won't work because it's under on the other side Frost was side of the window for 2 consecutive weeks. But in those few days, the outside temperature dropped to 40 degrees in the morning and the inside temperature dropped to 60 degrees at night. The water is now held consistently at around 77-78 degrees, no matter how I turn the temp dial, the…

Works but temperature setting and thermometer are very inaccurate

I bought this heater on January 24, 2020. It has always heated my 50 gallons. but the thermometer became very inaccurate. I noticed that my fish (Mbuna Cichlid) started dying after a few months, mainly due to stress. After some research I found that with this heater the thermometer read about 4.6 degrees Fahrenheit - in other words it would read 80.4, but the water temperature was actually 85 degrees Fahrenheit - beyond the Mbuna limit (82 -84 ). This was verified with two different Thermopro…
