🔌 Pack of 2 VIAIR 11490 DOT Approved Inflation Valve for 1/4" Air Line - PTC Style, Nickel Plated Review

Purchased in July 2020. Noticed yesterday that the driver's side side airbag is leaking. I checked today, it's dripping from the valve. Less than a year with minimal use!

Works as advertised and about $7 less than the next 2 packs at Revain. Easy to install and not leaking yet. Be sure to cut the air line straight and flat. I like to lay 220 grit sandpaper on a flat surface and quickly rub the end to ensure a smooth and flat finish before gluing.

Both come straight out of the box. 1 leaks all air within an hour, another leaks after 2 days, unfortunately I installed 1 which leaks after 2 days and I don't need to install anything else so I can send it back. Very disappointed with these. Wish you better quality control!

What you need. These are the only ones I've seen that have an internal support tube that the hose slides over as it engages the o-ring inside the fitting. Here's a tip: I always spray soap and water directly on the fitting when installing to avoid damaging the o-ring. There are no leaks yet.

I ordered two of these inflators to replace leaking airbag valve stems on a pickup truck. There were some issues getting one of the inflators to stop leaking when the tube o-ring was squeezed. I always make sure the plastic tubing doesn't have any sharp ends before inserting it into the inflator.
