I have a BAD batch in Welding and Soldering

I bought many rolls of this solder a few months ago because of the good reviews and have been very pleased with both the quality and the price I am using it for satisfied my painted glass. As my supply was running low I decided to order a few more rolls but this time something strange happens and the solder is not attracted to the fluxed copper foil. It doesn't flow properly, it doesn't bead, it doesn't pull to the foil and it behaves like there is no flux. There's a lot of thread so I don't…

Pros
  • Solder and Flux
Cons
  • Repair

Don't shop for stained glass.

This solder will not stick to copper. It hits all the glass when you try to solder the stained glass. I've never used anything so bad.

Pros
  • Freehand
Cons
  • Very expensive

A must for every glass artist!

This was my first time using lead solder and I have to say I was very impressed with how well it flows compared to lead free solder! Even a beginner (in stained glass) like me was able to get good results. from this lot! I recommend using a tabletop fume hood for smoke or fumes, although there were surprisingly few of them.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Dear

Uh, not bad. but not Canfield.

Everything was ok. For the price I expected much worse. I like to use Canfield, which is probably the most expensive, but I've been trying to branch out and try something new and more economical. I say try. It certainly outperforms some of the other cheaper brands. It's not as smooth as the Canfield, however. If it's helpful to note, I tried my chosen brand of solder, Rubyfluid (aka the pink stuff).

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Something different
