Do not buy! I took mine out, set it up and hit the power button. Everyone excited to try it, smoke starting to rise from what I assumed was the front. Good news, my smoke alarm works great. Now my whole apartment smells like electric fire and my record was spinning silently the whole time! So not only did he try to burn my house down, but the speakers never worked!

I bought this for my SO for Christmas and he loves it! He is so cute and very easy to use. The sound quality is actually better than expected. We could still buy some external speakers for it, but you can also do without. We used the player function and connected our phones via bluetooth. Both are easy to set up and work flawlessly. The only downside for me is that the lid doesn't open as wide as I thought it would. Not sure if there is a reason for this.

The first impression was that I like the overall appearance of the device very much. "Chrome" is too bright but still looks good. What disappointed me the most is that the dial does not light up. Totally normal for this thing. You can tell they're just putting these things together to get them out the door and into the hands of the QVC crowd as quickly as possible. It makes a lot; plays CDs, cassettes, vinyl, radio and Bluetooth, but does not process any of them. The phonograph mode in particular is a blur.
