which wasn't as good as the Radio Shack antenna we installed there.

I took this to Upper Michigan this summer and thought it would improve the antenna I have at home. Stations are at least 80 miles apart. Remote rotation works, but you have no idea which direction the antenna is pointing without physically looking at it. I didn't install it outside on the roof as the roof has a 12/12 pitch and I didn't have a ladder to safely climb on it. I installed it in the attic and it wasn't as good as the Radio Shack antenna we put there when they went digital. The worst…

Far beyond expectations!

First I ordered it on Friday afternoon because I thought it would be a project next weekend. It arrived on Sunday (Easter) morning! Impressed! I agree that this was MUCH easier to set up than it looks or what I was expecting. It's not like a satellite dish where a millimeter of misdirection destroys your signal. according to yourfreedtv.com my zip code should be 36 degrees northwest. According to my iPhone compass app, I was pointing somewhere nearby. screwed this into the cable that connected…

This is actually the second antenna I've bought in 4 months. The first was for my house and worked great! This second one was for my dad's house next door (down the street). Not a single broadcast TV station caught. He lives a little down the hill, that's probably why, but the box still says 150 miles of reception and I can get about 15 channels at home, but he gets zero. No channel (not even the gospel channel which ALWAYS seems to be!) is very disappointing. BUT. The Revain team made it easy…

Turned out better than I thought

We decided to omit the cable. I've looked into individual antennas (like the Mohu Leaf) but considering we have 4 TVs, $30-60 per antenna was out of the question. After some browsing and research I decided on this antenna. I had never heard of this brand but at the price (35.99 at the time) I thought I had to lose. According to web.org antenna we are 30 miles from Tampa Towers and 65 miles from Orlando Towers. I decided to do an attic conversion. I put it over the garage. As you can see from…

Initially skeptical.

I was very skeptical about this product due to the price and when I received it I found it incredibly light and kind of crappy as it is mostly plastic. I originally put it on an Amazon recommended $20 mount. Now I have a $20 paperweight because I drilled an extra hole in it and obviously can't return it. I haven't had much luck with this mount and was disappointed. I actually tried screwing my old RCA antenna to it and just using a rotator (the rotator remote has a 10 foot range if you're…

There is no better antenna. I live 80 miles south of one of them.

This is the fifth antenna I have bought in four years. You won't find a better antenna for the price. I live 80 miles south of one metro area and 60 miles west of another. This antenna receives a total of 40 transmitters from these two areas, including almost all transmitters that broadcast wirelessly from these areas. There are several reasons I can't rate it higher than three stars. The antenna is very cheaply made. It is fragile and can easily break, resulting in decreased sensitivity or…

Money well spent!: Antennas

I would give this antenna 6 stars if I could! It took 5 minutes to assemble with a Phillips screwdriver. I live in a townhouse and it's temporarily installed in the attic on my wife's broomstick! I plan on picking up a piece of 3/4" EMT at Home Depot tomorrow before she discovers her pen is missing. The loft is over 30 feet up so I was hoping for a good signal. I did some research on tvfool.com and found that to receive NYC feeds the antenna would need to be pointed about 16 degrees NE.I opted…

My Frankenstein is the best TV antenna

My Frankenstein******** My settings are marked below for quick reference ******** I live in Palm Bay , Florida (southeast of Orlando) and wanted to give up cable, phone line and internet. I have pretty high expectations for what I want from my OTA antenna. I want ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX. I want my NFL games and these networks' good primetime shows. But I don't live in or near town and would like to run four TVs with my Ota setup. So I chose this antenna based on the reviews and the range. I…
