Viking Patterns Knitting Inspiration Projects Review

All the patterns are so pretty it's hard to decide where to start. The patterns and designs are beautiful and unique, this viking knit was a real surprise for me! I also love the story that accompanies the knitting patterns. Fabulous for Aran lovers too.

The book has been around for a while but cable diagrams are timeless! Because of this designer, I wanted to learn how to make kits in the first place. The symbols on the diagrams are explained and I would suggest making a copy of the symbol diagram on the back and keeping it with the cable diagrams. Stickers to mark which row of the table you are in. Keep in mind that many of the yarns used to make garments are no longer made, but with a little research you can find great substitutes.

This book disappointed me. After flipping through the book, I decided that the most attractive drawing was the one on the cover. Many of the sweaters in it were large and shapeless (although a photo of many didn't help), and others were boring. I was disappointed that many of the pieces were mostly plain and just braided. Even the sweater on the cover has some of that style, but unlike the sweaters on the inside, the cables are so cleverly placed that you hardly notice the jerseys. I liked the…
