These car ashtrays are great. They have plenty of space and fit perfectly in a cup holder. That's all you need. I have received several. I also like the LED backlight, especially at night.

Nice ashtray. It's heavy, so it won't tip over easily. It's very handy at night because when the lid is opened, a blue light comes on. Fits perfectly in the cup holder. And the cigarettes will go out immediately when you close the lid. It fits perfectly!

I think this is the fourth of these ashtrays I've bought over the years. They can withstand a lot, drown out the smoke and glow perfectly in the dark. The light will eventually go out faster if you don't keep it closed all the time. And the coating of the cover begins to peel off over time. But not a year or two ago.

Should have listened to the reviews. This was my 3rd car to go astray and I bought it EXCLUSIVELY to put in the vent where I can reach it easier and safer. However, as the reviews pointed out, it kept popping up until I was finally able to find one of the clips needed to reinstall. However, it doesn't matter as it just keeps popping up. If you're looking for one to stay safe in the wind, don't buy it.

This is the best of these ashtray cup holders I've found. Complaints are about fit only. It's a bit short and too small in diameter to fit snugly in my 2016 Jeep Patriot's cup holders. However, the lid and base are actually steel as advertised. This allowed me to glue a thin, round magnet to the bottom of the cup holder, which holds the ashtray well and makes it easy to remove for cleaning. My first thought when I received this product was that I was surprised at its weight, it is definitely well made. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because there is no way to turn off the blue light during the day when you don't need it, meaning it stops working sooner. I wish there was an on/off function. It's great at night because you can actually see your ashtray in the dark of the car so I hope the light lasts a long time.
