I bought this latch to close my sewing closet. I may have bought the wrong size but it won't snap or open. I still have to buy something for the office.

The cheaper "oiled bronze" finish will likely wear off quickly with prolonged use but should work in this case. The kit 4 and 1 ordered came with the hook mounted so it had to be placed on the left side. It doesn't look like the hook can be flipped as it's basically riveted in place. Luckily there are 3 blinds in 1 room and 4 in the next room. For the price, they seem like a fair value.
