Overall Recommended

I was trying to put 651 vinyl on water bottles and my Cricut transfers were too sticky. It worked: Light glue but the perfect amount for transferring small, delicate designs. I just wish you could see through the tape a bit more to place it.

Great transfer tape for using vinyl in screen printing!

So I'm an absolute zero at vinyl cutting and screen printing. My first attempt was to use a relatively simple image (remember the outline of Mickey Mouse's head with his smile for details) - and I used Cricut's signature ribbon. NIGHTMARE. Leaning over the screen, squeezing with all his might, trying to get the image from the tape onto the screen. My dreams of forcing my family to wear the same shirt every week have been shattered. But then I saw videos of other people SO EASY putting vinyl art

Not quite sticky, but not terrible.

Not tacky enough to safely separate Oracal 651 vinyl from the backing paper. It takes a lot of patience to transfer intricate designs. I also tried Vvivid Translucent Transfer Paper and found it much better. Update: After leaving the transfer tape on the cut vinyl for a few hours it lifts the designs well and still comes off easily after applying to the final surface. I think the glue just needs a little time to cure.

Great Transfer Tape

Not sure why some of the negative reviews say this tape is NOT sticky or junk. So far I've used about 30 feet, all types and brands of vinyl, some large and some very small types. Everything worked very well. I have several other brands of CLEAR transfer tape that are SUPER aggressive in the TACK department, which is an absolute nightmare when it comes to releasing vinyl on items, but THIS tape is great. Disappointing product when used with complex designs on permanent vinyl.

If you are transferring fairly large designs this product can work wonders when used at the right temperature, too cold not to stick to the vinyl and too hot for the vinyl to stick too much making the transfer difficult . On the other hand, if you want to transfer small and complex designs, this is not the product you want, as the tape is almost non-sticky and you end up having to spend hours sticking those tiny details on it, which would be a headache and you don't survive! Lesson learned…
