Description of Viski 4371 Professional Lewis Mallet

MAKE THE PERFECT CRUSHED ICE - Freshly crushed ice can make the difference between a vacation-level cocktail or a diluted mess. Crush ice to order and to your preference, every time, fill up your favorite glasses and mix up your favorite drinks. CRAFT AMAZING COCKTAILS AND REFRESHING DRINKS - You can’t replace crushed with ice with regular cubes, many iconic cocktails and recipes just wouldn’t be the same. Moscow mules, mint juleps, daiquiris, and more all benefit from fresh crushed ice. CANVAS BAG NATURALLY ABSORBS EXCESS WATER TO KEEP ICE CRISP - When you break ice, you also create residual water. But if you crush your ice in a canvas bag, the bag quickly and naturally absorbs this excess water, leaving crisp crushed ice within. ENTERTAIN GUESTS WHILE YOU SHOW OFF YOUR BARTENDING SKILLS - This ice crushing set will make you a better home bartender. It also creates a fun spectacle, and your guests will feel the difference when you hand them a drink with fresh crushed ice. INCLUDES CANVAS BAG AND BEECHWOOD MALLET - Add ice and get to crushing! Easily storable, let the bag dry, and then fold up. Makes a perfect gift for cocktail lovers and amateur or experienced home bartenders.

Destroy it! in Bar Tools

I was a little confused about the price (I'm a curmudgeon) but I put up with it and bought it as a gift for my husband. We guys love cocktails, especially tiki drinks, and crushed ice is very important. We made a plastic bag (what a waste) and a sander side cloth and it's not great. Uneven pressing and even with bits of ice from the towel all over the place so everything ends up getting wet. The mallet is nice and wide, it breaks all the ice in just a few hits, the bag is a nice thick canvas…

Not Scary But Not Good

This applies to Lewis Ice Packs Only: The dimensions of the bag used are approx. Total length including flap is 11.25 inches or 28.6 cm), so it doesn't matter how you use it measures, this is NOT a 12 inch bag. It's designed flat (which is odd for a bag designed to store volume), but when filled with ice has an approximate volume of 33.4 cubic inches (547.3 cubic centimeters or milliliters). The less solid ice there is in the bag initially, the easier it will be to break it up into smaller…

The old school way of making crushed ice!

Bought this to make crushed ice for tiki drinks. This is a very reliable way to make crushed ice without using electric or manual cranks. No blades or parts to rust! Many reviews say it's not durable. You don't need much strength to crush the ice, it's mostly done on the wrist and let the weight of the hammer do the work for you. Don't overfill your bag either. If you hit hard enough to break the ice, the bag's seams shouldn't be stressed. Cool to make an ice pack for a drink or two. But…

  • Not as thick as other picks

I almost bought one of those noisy electric ice scooping and crushing tools that require constant attention and maintenance and eventually break. Luckily I thought about buying it for a while before finally purchasing the Lewis Ice Pack. I like it because I always know what to expect, it's simple, fast, dries itself, doesn't rust, requires minimal maintenance, requires no moving parts, takes up almost no storage space and produces the crushed ice I hope it will and expect every time. While this
