Unfortunately, not all monitors are created equal. I took the risk and see people saying that this can COMPLETELY block the power cord/other ports on the monitor. My problem seems to be that the backplate has a protruding skid plate around the ports where it can't stay flat to install. Otherwise I had no problems with this adapter. After watching a promotional video on their website, I saw that this product was installed on my Asus monitor of the same model, so I thought it would be a good choice. Having received it I now understand the complaints about the lack of customization and it's a shame because it could have been fixed so easily by drilling a few extra holes , which I did. They place the Vesa monitor interface holes in the CENTER of the mount, which allows you to move just 3 inches in each direction. Having two different monitor brands on the same dual arm stand can be pretty ugly at times. I have a 24" LG IPS display as well as a 24" ViewSonic display, and the VESA mount points on both are offset by about an inch.
