as described - thermometers seem to be accurate. easy to use - excellent value for money

I have used them in several of my discus aquariums. I've always used standard glass thermometers, but have found that with larger discus (like any cichlid) my glass thermometers break when they're in mating mode trying to mark and defend their territory by hitting objects. It's hard to explain, but if you know cichlids and their mating behavior, and then look at the size of the disk in relation to thermometers, you'll understand. I needed a solution that couldn't break and this worked!

I have no idea how they got as many stars as they have.

Received it today and was happy to open and install it. That happiness ended. I noticed only one was tuned to F instead of C, don't worry, open it up and move the lever, right? No, it caused the device to fail. Even the slightest pressure on the device's body drove him mad. Surely that's just one of the four, isn't it? Wrong, the second block I opened behaved the same way. Inaccurate and unreliable. Only suitable for approximate tempos.

I put all four in my mini fridge to test them out. They've been there for over a month. I check them regularly. As a rule, they are within 1-2 degrees of each other. However, they will sometimes differ significantly. The problem with these tests is that I usually forget to test them until I open and close the door again. And since it's a mini-fridge, even opening the door for a second can change the internal temperature by several degrees. I just checked them, the readings are…
