just had to insert batteries (not included) and press the power button and it worked. This is exactly the type of remote control that originally came with the TV (the original was lost when we moved). I'm surprised it doesn't require pairing, but at least that made it comfortable for me.

Exact replacement for what I had Works right out of the box. No programming. Just insert the batteries and you're good to go. Bought because two days ago the IR signal on my original remote failed. It was a lot cheaper and only took two days than ordering directly from Vizio.

I am very satisfied with this remote control. The one that came with my Vizio has crashed one or more times. I ordered it not expecting much but it works great. There was no need to program it or just press anything. My Netflix works fine when I press the Netflix button. I would recommend checking the model number to make sure it's compatible.
