Great Device, Could Be Improved

This egg cooker does a really good job of cooking all types of boiled eggs with minimal effort, although there are a few points to note - and I'm sure other reviewers have, but I'm throwing it in my $0.02... The timer works great but it really needs a beep or a bell or something. If you run this in a quiet room, you can absolutely hear the ending, as there's an audible click as it shuts down... but there's no ringing or ringing - this feature can actually be useful. I bought TWO of these - a good buy for the price!

I bought my first (NOT auto shut off) for my home a year ago and I love it. I always add more water than recommended because I like it when boiled eggs take longer to cook. I don't actually use a measuring cup - at this point I know how much water it takes to get the eggs just how I like them. Also, I do NOT pierce the eggs with a pointer attached to the cup, that may be another reason it takes longer (my preference). Remains hot and puddles of water on the worktop even after it has been switched off!

I bought this egg cooker with an auto shut off feature and it didn't shut off when it was supposed to. Despite the fact that the button was turned off, the stove itself did not stop heating. I waited five minutes and the stove was still hot. I was able to put my finger on the plate but after a few seconds my finger got too hot and I had to unplug the device to keep it from getting hot. Less than it seems! Plus Perfect Soft-Boiled, Hard-Boiled, or Hard-Boiled Eggs

First of all, it's actually quite small and pretty. So don't look at the pictures. Second, I'm a little diva with my balls. So I'm used to a few steps to get perfect eggs. These steps may or may not suit you and should inform you of your decision to take them or not.
