The problem is that the mounting holes don't match.

One problem is that the mounting holes do not line up perfectly with the throttle body. You may need to make the holes slightly larger and add larger washers to keep them flat on one side.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • cable is shorter than others

Product came quickly and easily installed on my GMC 96 Sierra

Product came quickly and easily installed on my 96 GMC Sierra. I just wish the hardware was a little longer and came with larger throttle body shims. And I was disappointed that I didn't have a choice of airbox covers. I really wanted the mesh grille pictured, not the ghetto line design I got.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Looks good and gives the impression that the engine (5

) Looks good and gives the impression that the engine (5.7L '98 K1500 - new engine) is a bit springier. a slight growl added to the sound of the engine but was imperceptible - I wish there was more of it. Installation instructions left a lot to be desired. The fit was good and installation was pretty easy no matter the direction. Tighten the clamps and nut bolts for a while.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • unreliable

High quality filter parts

The inlet is very well built and easy to install. It did require some minor modifications to fit properly, but if you have automotive experience it doesn't matter. A comment on the instructions, they are very poor. For those who have never picked up a wrench, consider installing one as the instructions are terrible. The hardware included in the kit was very good quality, but the throttle body bolts are too short. All in all it's a very good reception but the directions were rather…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fit and finish - poor quality and finish

Bought this item for my daughter's '98 Chevy Silverado. The order arrived and after reading the instructions for a few minutes I noticed that three cowl extensions were missing and the screws didn't fit. Called the company and the woman said to take a picture of what is missing and email it to them. How would I photograph the missing parts; and then they said someone would call back. Waste of time and bad customer service. I ordered a replacement and when it arrived the screws that came with it

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Interchangeable

TBI HARD PLASTIC HOSE BREAKS WITH SHORT USE.

AS OTHER SPECIFIED THE SCREWS ARE SHORT. THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT THE SYSTEM IS RIGID FROM THE TBI TO THE BLOCK THAT IS BOLTED TO THE FIREMAN'S WALL. LETTERS SENT DIRECTLY FOR 2 DAYS NO REPLY. A BLOCK APPROVED FOR TBI AND SEPARATED BY A 3/8" CRACK IS 4" IN HEIGHT. I'VE ONLY HAD IT A MONTH AND I DON'T USE MY ESCALADE THAT MUCH. I SUSPECT MOTOR MOVEMENT VS BODY MOVEMENT. SENT YOU PHOTOS, NO RESPONSE. I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE DEVICE, IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE, LOOKS NICE BUT IT WAS BROKEN ALMOST…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
