Very happy with filters

Very happy with how the intake system works. I ended up building my own mount for the air box on my '98 Chevy 3500 7.4, very pleased overall

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Drill kit

Good welcome! - Spares

I replaced the K&N kit with this valance kit. It is a completely closed system, which makes it quieter under full load. it was easy to assemble in less than 30 minutes. The quality of the kit is very good.

Wrong fit, not an exact fit.

The product looks good. Instructions are nonsense. Hardware is not accurate. For example the instructions say to use smaller bolts to mount the bracket to the airbox but they don't fit so you have to use bigger bolts but now the small bolts don't hold well on the fender because the nuts have the wrong one Size. I used my own equipment. The orientation of the bracket isn't given in directions, and the piece that goes around the hole in the wing had to be cut. Much too long. Didn't fit so I had…

Like the product; horrible to install

I liked this product compared to K&N because it was fully enclosed so didn't allow heat to build up in the engine compartment. However, the installation was a nightmare. From the required brackets to assembly tolerances, very little worked as it should and the short assembly time quickly turned into an hour and a half of work. I ended up discarding some parts that came with the product in order for it to fit properly and install in a way that is slightly different than advertised. I think this…

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • there are cons

My 1997 K3500 Centurion had 'Cold Air' flounce as shown in this ad, installed by the previous owner. It's not the worst design, but it looked like hell to install. Materials are top notch except for the fact that the drain was more than enough for an old big block. When I painstakingly removed the filter housing (four screws), I found that the fake K&N flounce was very dirty and slightly warped from the heat. forced out of the engine bay and back into an elongated shape. I tow full-time and my…
