Disappointed

I was so excited to use this. I used it twice in one week, when I used it for the third time everything broke. The knob at the top broke completely in half in the clay extruder. I was hoping to fix it and noticed the metal was completely crumbling. I tried going ahead and sending it back and for some reason I couldn't get a return label on my end. I threw it away and went to the lobby to get a new one.

Pros
  • Clay Extruders, Mixers & Presses
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great tool for the money!

This is a surprisingly good little tool! Easy to use, make a small clay cylinder and load it into the extruder. Screw the top into place with one of the many dies to create the shape you want. Then turn the knob SLOWLY. The reason I stress slow is that some types of clay are cracked or blistered. Slowing down seems to fix this problem. Various types of Sculpy Clay work well with this extruder.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Small Parts

It could be better.

I liked the idea of this extruder but as soon as I used it the paint was already peeling off and it was very difficult to push anything out of the extruder at all. It's not good to use on clay, although the clay softens after playing with it for a few seconds. My arm was starting to hurt a lot and I couldn't even push all the clay out so I put it back instead. Although I liked the different discs that were included. If only this could go on. =

Pros
  • Ceramics and Ceramics
Cons
  • High Price
