BELL 22-1-46127-8: License Plate Frame and Mounting Bracket Review

If you're trying to use this as an adapter to put a USA badge on a JDM bumper, be careful. The slots will not line up with the JDM holes unless you change the height of the plate OR drill new holes in the JDM bumper. If you're thinking of lengthening the slots in this frame (like me) it won't work because the back of the frame is hollow. I ended up drilling two new holes in the JDM bumper and it worked. I'm the only one who will know because it's covered with a plate.

Bought but never used. I have a license plate bushing that acts like a rubber bumper. Works and looks good but thought there might be something included for screws to put on a weight or nut at the back to attach it to the bumper. Most cars just have empty holes in the bumper which is great but you will need a washer and nut on the back to attach it to the bumper. You'll have to go to a hardware store or car shop to get some supplies if you don't have the stuff to do the work on the car lying around, which luckily I have. But it would be nice if all of this was included.

Worked well for my purposes. I didn't have any front mounting points on my car so I used 2 3/6"x4" anchor bolts and 3/4"x2" PVC pipe to mount the frame to the holes in my front grille. Tape was wrapped around the white PVC pipe to keep it from sticking out. The frame is rigid enough to be held on with 2 bolts and to support the license plate and license plate frame. The bracket itself is ok but the screws are too long. There are two "sets" of screws - one to attach the bracket to the vehicle and the other to attach the plate to the bracket. All screws are identical. For attaching the mount to the car, the length of the screw usually doesn't matter, so the included screws will work.
