Allscanner's VXManager is the key to proper operation. It installs the correct driver and allows the VCX Nano to work with Forscan and Ford FJDS as a J2534 passthrough. I've heard rumors that aftermarket 2534 units can't be programmed with FJDS on the MS-CAN bus, but I didn't think that was true as this VCX Nano worked perfectly with a valid FJDS license. I was expecting the installation to be difficult based on the information I read online, but honestly it wasn't that bad. I used the free VMWare player and created some VMs so I don't have to start from scratch if I make mistakes. It works GREAT on a 2015 c-max Hybrid and a 2017 F-150 with IDS 114.01 and Win10. Amazing. I now have Ford dealer level diagnostics and programming on my 2010 Lincoln MKT and 1999 F150. I managed to read codes, run some diagnostics and program a new smart key for my MKT.
