Don't think it's stainless steel

The guy who didn't examine the muffler thinks it really is stainless steel. The two spot welds that come with the silencer already show signs of rusting when delivered.

Pros
  • Exhaust and Emissions
Cons
  • Protection

Stainless: Muffler

This muffler not only doesn't fit like the original, it's not made entirely of stainless steel. In less than 3 years the inlet pipe is completely rusted! So much for spending extra money on a better product.

Walker Muffler on Exhaust and Emissions

I installed this muffler on a 1998 Chevy Metro 1 liter hatchback. Like the other review, it doesn't match your current resonator. You will need a Walker resonator assembly, part #46928. I just replaced my entire exhaust with a Walker. This is exactly what my little car needs. This silencer makes it quiet. However, it does not fit in the center of the small cut-out in the bumper for the exhaust pipe. But nothing bothers you, and you don't even notice it if you don't know where the old one fitsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

NE Direct fit suitable for exhaust and emissions

I have this muffler for my 2000's Chevy orders Metro after checking several websites to make sure it's the right muffler for my car. I could buy a cheaper muffler, take it to a muffler shop, and pay them $50 to carry it, but since it was described as "a perfect fit," I figured I'd pay more for the muffler but save money by wearing him on his own. . When I got the muffler I compared it to the one on the car and it "looked" the same, but after I cut off my muffler and tried to fit this I found it

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION -- Direct bolt on replacement solution using OE style hangers, brackets and pipes for easy installation and no special fabrication and/or welding required
Cons
  • Compatibility
