If you can tolerate this type of whitening, it does what dentists do for hundreds of dollars and is superior to any over-the-counter whitener. The most comfortable time to use the product is while showering. When you're done showering, the whitening is complete. The timing is perfect, no tracking. This product works great. It won't burn gums if you use the right amount. Very little product is needed for excellent results. I apply a thin layer of gel to each tooth with Qtip and then insert the mouthpiece. It works best if you keep your mouth closed and don't speak. Less saliva keeps the gel in place.

If you already have a mouthguard I would recommend buying a double set of gel liners instead as just one set will do for upper or lower teeth. Initially, the bleaching gel burns the gums a bit, but it doesn't hurt. I think the mineralizing gel helps reduce tooth sensitivity and also helps restore gums. One hour treatment gave results of three consecutive treatments ALL NIGHT with my dentist's 12% solution! As other reviewers of this product point out, you need to be careful with the solution as it can burn the inside of our lips and gums. Vaseline helps. If you have a burning sensation, give it a few days to heal. Works great if you follow the instructions letter by letter. A trick I use when it's difficult to push the plunger to start gel flow is to use a small round toothpick to push in and scrape the exit tip. I wish there were more tubes of remineralizing gel in the pack.
