Easy Installation: Detailed, step-by-step video will guide you through removing your old ear pads and installing your brand new Upgraded Replacement Ear Pads, making the entire process short and pain-free. Enhanced Comfort: Professional-grade PU leather is designed for long-term, crack-free durability. These extra thick pads are specifically designed for long-term comfort compatible with ATH m50 / m50x headphones. Enhanced Sound: Your old, beat up ear cushions are negatively affecting the sound performance of your headphones. These earpads comfortably conform to your ear, blocking out noise and dialing in the sound, so you can drift off into the beats. Rugged Durability: These replacement earpads were made to last for longer... We added stitching and reinforced it with glue on the inside seam to avoid splits and breaks. Extra thickness prevents your ear pads from becoming flat as time goes by. Yes they fit the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

My pics show the standard webbing, leather you can get from SteelSeries vs the standard webbing and then the SteelSeries leather vs this ATH M50X. The Audio Technica ATH M50X's ear pads are significantly thicker than SteelSeries' leather upgrade. They're both softer and softer than the standard fabrics, but the SteelSeries are softer than the ATH, but probably only because they're thinner. Both seem so damn soft and squishy. I wear a 7" and 1/8" baseball cap and ATH hats are still much more…

If it hadn't worked I would have given up the m50x forever. Instant

I've had an Audiotechnica M50x for a few years now and the stock pads really ruined my experience. I first tried the HM5 interchangeable ear pads and while they offer comfort in the headphones, they completely change the sound signature, pitching it up and making it sound really tinny. (My theory is that the earpads didn't have as thick a mesh to reduce the treble. So I tried these replacement earpads, if they didn't work I would throw the m50x away forever. I immediately noticed that the thick

Comfortable, insulating and perfect fit.

Purchased for AudioTechnica ATH-M50s headphones. The original pads were about 5 years old and started to tear and became very stiff and uncomfortable. I also have a relatively new pair of ATH-M50x headphones in the office. I bought these pads to replace the ATH-M50s pads. The fit was perfect. I compared the old pads, the new standard ATH-M50x pads and the Wicket Cushions pads. Obviously the replacement was much better compared to the 5 year old pads. I was more skeptical as to whether they were

Pros

Cons
  • So-so

They are very well finished. You can feel that this is a high-quality product. The ear pads are very comfortable and fit my headphones (ATH-M50xBT) perfectly. Note that they are larger than the original pads in all sizes, but that doesn't change anything (perhaps the footprint is a bit larger when folded). Now for the cons... Unfortunately, they change the sound signature of the headphones a lot, and that's the biggest problem with them for me. I love them when I wear them, but I really hate…

Good update, but changes the sound

Update after 6 months of use: They change the sound too much for my taste, so I deduct 2 stars. The bass is overblown and the highs become spicy, dry and lose their shine. I've tried removing the mesh entirely and leaving the drivers open, but the results were the same. I suspect this is due to their thickness, which places the drivers much farther from your ears and changes the geometry of the resonator. I've tried Dekoni Pads which are honestly twice the price and I'm a lot happier now. If…

*For ATH-M50X* About bad reviews.

Okay, let's nip that in the bud right away. People who left bad reviews because their "soundstage has changed" and "it sounds like X, Y and also Z!" - Take it with a grain of salt. There are mutliple reasons for this. Above all. Spirit. It's like moving a speaker that was 2 feet away and surrounded by concrete, 4 feet away and surrounded by wood. Anyone who orders them and thinks the sound doesn't change shouldn't write clarity-focused reviews to try and sound like an audiophile. Because the…

Degrades sound quality

Before purchasing I read the negative reviews and should have listened to them, but to my shame I found that the original reviewers were too picky or worked in an industry in who represented something like that would be a big problem. A number of reviews found that these cushions negatively affect the sound quality of the ATH-M series headphones. I needed replacement cushions for my M40X headphones and was debating whether to buy OEM replacements or save a few bucks. I lowered the price and…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Almost everything is available

I usually hate it when people write product reviews straight out of the box, but I'm so blown away by these ear pads I couldn't wait. I also realized immediately after writing this that a lot of what I said sounds a lot like a product description so I want to go ahead and say that this is not a paid review and I didn't receive anything to close those ears rate pads. I'm just a low level audiophile coming home from school in the summer with nothing else to do. I've been using AudioTechnica…
