Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

what can be impressions from a hard on two tera? I don’t crack nuts with them, it works normally, the temperature is within the normal range, the noise also doesn’t get out of my other hards .

Pros
  • writing speed is good, it reached 164 MB/s when copying a large pile of different files from ~ 10 to 100 MB to it in Windows Explorer
Cons
  • surface test in victoria didn't look as perfect as WD Se terabytes and some not so new Hitachi, but maybe it's due to different conditions, the best views were obtained under WinPE 2K10, and WD Gold was tested under Win11

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

The second such HDD, which was defective, was immediately sent to the WD SC in Hong Kong, where within a month (long due to the pandemic) it was exchanged under warranty for a completely new one of the same type (the new one, as expected, works as silently as the first one that was bought a year ago), in this regard, WD service is on top. : High-speed data from a new HDD that came from the service, in exchange for a defective one.

Pros
  • Very fast for a server HDD and very quiet (who talks about noise either problems with the disk or a ty basket in the case), read and write speeds in the region of 100-200Mb / s, in principle, I don’t demand anything more from it, reliability and and silence, and only then speed.
Cons
  • Of the two, one was caught with a marriage (for the first time in my life when a HDD from WD was caught with a marriage), it buzzed like a DVD disc in the drive (bad pancake balancing), but I think this is an extremely rare phenomenon and the norm for any HDD, usually the marriage manifested itself either immediately within a week or worked without failure and kasyakov for years.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

I took it to a PC to store valuable information. Got pros: Reading and writing speed ~ 185-195 Mb. Surface quality and smart out of the box. The noise is almost inaudible. Crack heads mentioned in other reviews did not find. With its cons: Vibration is stronger than the Blue series, but if the body is normal with vibration damping pads, this is not a problem.

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Modern programs, games and databases are eating up more and more space, and WD's gold one is quite suitable to solve this.

Pros
  • The disk is very fast and reliable for a non-solid state. The last one served 5-4 years and is still in service. The technology seems to have stepped up over the years, 2TB is faster than its 1TB counterpart that I bought 5 or 4 years ago. Test photos here.
Cons
  • aliexpress delivers hard drives in a corton box without any pimples and foam rubber, like a bar of soap. Guys, you are serious, this is a fragile and expensive technique.

I use it in my home PC for games, everything works clearly without jambs, having paid a fairly high amount for it, I will be completely calm for all the files stored on it, since VD gold and VD black premium HDD have great quality.

Pros
  • Good speed for an HDD, and a very roomy 2TB.
Cons
  • didn't find it!

The product is no good, I won't buy it again.

Bought this CD in 2022. Immediately there were problems: in the load after a while the disk was no longer detected by the system. I checked the disk with the utility that is listed on the Western Digital website. The check showed that the disk could not be restored. Passed under warranty. I had to send the disk to Hong Kong to a service center. I received information from him that the disk cannot be restored and will be replaced with a similar one. Fine. Waiting for my new CD. The whole…

Pros
  • Large volume, quality level of customer support.
Cons
  • Low reliability. Tested on 2 discs.

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

Let's make a remark that this HDD is a server one and you should not expect silence from it. Speed 200/200 Stands in a home PC, almost silent system. There is also a WD RE sata 2 on 1tb, it is also a server one, but less noisy and a little faster response after parking than WD GOLD on 2TB. It is worth announcing the factor that in a good steel case, vibration will be less felt. In my Thermaltake Versa U21, I have thin aluminum walls and no noise. So comparing with WD Blue - the subject is…

Pros
  • Speed and reliability
Cons
  • Vibration and long start

Without exaggeration, this is the best hard that only I had in the system. To be honest, I already regret that I did not take the 3TB version. Compared to WD Red, this one is much faster, for example, it loads the same Windows in 9-11 seconds. Many write that it is very noisy, but I buy a server HDD and hope for uncompromising silence, this is somehow strange. If you buy it for your home PC and you need silence, then look towards the SSD, or WD blue, otherwise you will write an angry review…

Pros
  • Fast, very fast, both in applications and in game downloads, it also wakes up immediately after sleep, cold.
Cons
  • A disc of this level is sold in an ordinary bag, it's not serious at all. At least it was packaged in a box.

But don't crystal brands and so on lie, giving out average speeds according to tests? I checked it in Victoria v 4.47Rus, having received the first results, put the harddisk on the foam rubber, screwed a 50mm fan from below (also through the foam rubber) - special cooling for hard drives (since the controller still heats up) and in such ideal conditions (32 degrees, there are no vibrations) - 1) 4 surface tests in Victoria in a row showed from 300 to 600 "green" sectors (!) with a read delay of

Pros
  • quiet. I screwed in the screws from the side, they put on cubes of dense foam rubber with a side of ~ 7mm. and so inserted into the body. Those. hdd relies on these foam rubber cubes. as a result, wd gold is not audible at all. even if you put your ear close to it. 2 million hours of MTBF is indicated.
Cons
  • falls asleep. It takes 2 seconds to wake up. after a 20 min break. I put a win7 swap file on it - it still falls asleep. Test below -

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

. May 2022 - 2+ years in service - great flight! Not a single bug was seen. I took it for a gaming / working home assembly. At temperatures now above 35 I don’t see at all, installation on the side back side without airflow. In the future, I want to switch completely to ssd (sn750). I don’t know yet how justified this is, the system also has an ssd from wd with a 1TB radiator, it has been plowing for a year now. I will now take them instead of evo plus.

Pros
  • - Gold Series - High reliability - Speed, 128/7200 - No noise - The temperature does not rise above 33 (direct blowing 120 fan) - The temperature does not rise above 40 (Fractal R6 case, installation on the side without airflow)
Cons
  • - No.

Terrible metallic hum during operation. As if an unlubricated bearing is spinning. There is no cod from the heads, only this nasty "ringing" at a very unpleasant frequency. The screw is clearly not for home use. Compared to it, the Blue and Green series are simply silent. The computer lives in a soundproof box, otherwise I don’t know how I would have endured it. I did not expect such a set-up for such grandmas.

Pros
  • Fast, big guarantee
Cons
  • Very noisy, expensive

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the 2022 version, I bought this hard drive just a year ago for a working machine, but I can tell you a lot about the older brother of the 2022FBYZ series - 2022 days of non-stop work as a working drive. During this time, two WD Blues on 3Tb and 5Tb managed to die off, I made a decision and bought exactly the same new one, since they cost 7tr when I bought it, as a result, the working files were moved to exactly the same disk, and I use this one for…

Pros
  • I got it a year ago, there are no problems, it keeps the temperature, the speed is the same, there is no noise. Good hard drive for important data.
Cons
  • Price at the time of writing this comment.

Efficient and Reliable Storage Device

This storage device has exceeded my expectations in terms of reliability and efficiency. As my tests showed, the transfer speed is remarkably fast, making it ideal for computers that require a lot of data storage. The 256MB cache is a great feature that ensures data is accessed quickly. However, it may not be the most cost-effective option for those on a tight budget. Overall, a fantastic addition to any computer system that requires high-performance storage capabilities.

Pros
  • Impressive 256MB cache allows for fast data transfer and retrieval, making it ideal for enterprise use.
Cons
  • Relatively expensive compared to other hard drives on the market.

Super high capacity with good performance

Super high capacity with good performance. I ordered 5 of these and 2 DOA and 1 died after 3 months. One still works but the new replacement is in use and so far so good. They are configured to back up important files. It would be better if they were more reliable.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Fast Surplus is good for data storage

This drive is great, but its read/write reliability is too high for most people. I installed two of these on my home system and got read/write speeds of around 230-240MB/s. I'll be using both drives for a few months and then moving to Raid 0 once I'm sure they will. a critical window has passed when most disks fail. usually the first three months. I didn't notice any extra noise compared to both my old Western Digital green and blue discs. 0

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Zero
