The hardest part was finding a good winter coat for my Great Dane. Either the price was right but the length was too short, or it fit perfectly and cost around $200. This coat is just about perfect for keeping my 14 year old dog with arthritis as warm and dry as possible during the midwestern winter. Great coat for short haired large dogs. We have a red nose dog that is a Pitbull/Great Dane mix. My only recommendation would be a lighter color in case my dog gets lost in the distance or in the bushes. Another wish is that it has a hole for a seat belt.
