🔐 Enhanced WeatherTech 8AHP1 Hitch Pin Review

Bought for a 5th gen 4runner and it was easy to install. Good quality as you would expect from Weather Tech. My only regret is that I didn't buy the XL model.

This product was easy to install, fits very well and provides bumper protection and makes the truck bed more accessible. Highly recommended!

This stage is a bit flexible which can be a bit annoying when used as a stage. still works well as a stepping stone, just has some kickback. However this appears to be designed to absorb rear shocks which is the second reason I bought it so overall satisfied.

My wife was skeptical about this purchase. 3 days after buying our new car, I discovered that someone was parked behind me, right at the bus stop. That would be my bumper. It's made of very strong plastic and does what it's supposed to do, but breaks in the event of a major crash to avoid hitting the car's frame. Worth every penny!

I originally purchased this product to fit my daughter's truck as a rear bumper protector. During the Houston Rodeo, she was struck several times by the rear bumper, either while parking or while driving, causing her significant damage. The rodeo started last Friday when she was hit from behind by a rookie rider. The device was destroyed, but no vehicles were damaged. Happy to reorder.

4 stars because it is a very strong pin. But it didn't fit my 4 runner due to body and frame issues with pin placement once inserted into the clutch hole. Couldn't insert the pin properly to lock it and couldn't rotate it in any direction to set it at the right angle to lock it. I ended up ordering a straight pin that snaps into place.

This pin is perfect for WeatherTech's Bumpstep, but I also needed it to occasionally tie down a trailer. On receipt I saw a warning that it CANNOT be used for towing. I called and got confirmation that this was correct so I decided to return this item. Realize if all you're looking for is a pin that secures your bump step, then this will work just fine.
