I use it to brace my classroom door. The door has piano hinges and is very heavy so the doorstops on the floor do not work. This works very well.

I'm a Messenger. I've been using them at work for many years. The only problem is that if the guest tries to close the door when the doorstop is still the door, the guest will slow down. I have bought 3 of these units and they are good for light use. They are not as good as one would expect from a heavy door with a good spring. Being able to hang a wedge on a hinge and hold the door is great but two out of three broke after about 3 months of use this way. They are not of sufficient material for anything other than lightweight doors.
