Used these for my automatic plant watering system which shows moisture percentage, last watered time and sun exposure. This display is ideal for work.

After connecting the screen and the module, there was purple discoloration on the right side of the screen. I've only put 2 out of 4 together so I can only speak for those 2. But I definitely wouldn't waste time or money.

After playing around with it for a long time, I finally found out that the default contrast setting is set to zero. This way they will look like they don't work at all. So turn on that contrast setting if you expect them to do anything.

I was happy to order these displays go yellow on green for a retro feel but unfortunately these displays are black on yellow which can be found everywhere. To be functional there should be more stars as they are functional but they are less desirable than what was pictured.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for "value for money". I never realized how much cheaper it is if you spend an extra 5 minutes soldering the board yourself! You don't have to be an expert to solder it, it's very simple, very easy, quick and easy! The screens work great, once dialed in with the little screw on the back they work great and are very responsive to changes.

Received all 4 serial adapters but only 2 LCDs. Due to project schedules I went ahead and used what came because I couldn't wait for a replacement. One LCD soldered perfectly and worked first time. The text on the second LCD is also distorted when changing the adapter before and after the soldering test. It's just not right. If it was all parts I would write it down as 1 bad but the fact that I had no parts and only 1 of the two screens worked should the buyer beware.
