Weiand 9240P Action Plus Water Review

Had a new mechanic checking a new fitment I had made myself - leaking at the back of the pump right where the CHINESE seal was knocked out . No seals on the block but the pump itself. Very sad as I went through a lot to get this installed on my truck from finding the right fit to installing to realizing this was faulty and now to the Find another pump. In addition, the bracket for the fan clutch had to be adjusted, which would also require a new fan clutch. Tell you what, I will never buy…

I bought this on April 28th but just found time to install it on my 1984 Corvette. Revane says it fits my car but the hose connections are in the wrong place. Even if I were to somehow rearrange the hoses so that they converge, I would have to move the motor away from the pump since the hose's smaller fitting faces the motor. Unfortunately I spent $140 on the wrong part and when I returned or exchanged the item I was told I missed the return window which is understandable as it was late April…

OMG what some solid CHINESE junk! See photo. First I spent an hour alone sanding the protrusions that hit the power steering pump and then the A/C housing/bracket. THEN after installation I know that the thread for the pulley is not metric OR SAE. WHAT? So I had to somehow clamp the pulley mount to keep it from rotating so I could cut holes up to 5/16 inch. THEN the pulley holes are too narrow for the widely spaced threaded holes and too wide for the inner, narrower ones. threaded holes. So…
