Werner Extension Ladder Replacement Roller Set 31-12

Wow what a life saver. During a home project, I discovered that the pulley on my very old aluminum extension ladder had snapped. I was hoping I could find a replacement for Revain and get it working again. This kit was more than I expected and I was able to get the ladder working again without any difficulty. Not sure if my old one was Werner ladder or not but everything worked fine.

Perfect replacement

Perfect replacement for the plastic pulley on my extension ladder. The old pulley broke a few days ago and I ordered a replacement from Revain. I didn't use a rivet kit in this game because the old pulley didn't have a rivet attached. The old pulley was only through a bracket that was tightened, so I did the same with the replacement. Contrary to the instructions, I suggest that you pull the rope through before tightening the bolt and locknut to close the brace over the collapsed ladder.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Excellent replacement for the plastic assembly

This pulley assembly is of much better quality than the original pulley that came with my basement ladder. It was plastic and broke many years ago. I asked the judges to install a metal plate over the plastic grommets that held the rink in place, but this year when we installed the Christmas lights, it finally broke down. I was a little apprehensive about ordering this as I usually like to see the build before I buy, but this is the perfect replacement. It's easy to install and perfect for…

Great reel, used zip ties instead of a rivet

I was repairing my old Keller 3520 ladder that needed repairs; Pulley, rope, flaps and side protection above. I considered finding another pulley for less than $15 or just a metal pulley as only the plastic pulley on my ladder was damaged, but this got good reviews and I knew it would work. My original ladder roll didn't have a rivet on it and I never realized this was a problem. I really didn't feel like drilling the whole stair and I don't have a riveting tool. It's good that they include the

GREAT reel set!

A few months ago we bought our 1 foot house and found the staircase the previous owner had left! I thought darling! Free stairs! I've never had a ladder in my life! lol, after using it to clean gutters for the first time I found out why it was left behind. Hahahaha Overall the stairs are in great condition. It just needs a few secure updates. This ladder was not branded so I was hoping that this set of pulleys would not give me any trouble installing it. Installation was quick and painless…

Use a socket wrench to install

So my old 24ft extension ladder (manufacturer unknown) needed a new pulley assembly (and cable). To install, the machine screw (included) goes through one end of the (flexible) rail mount, through the pulley (wheel) assembly, and exits the other end of the rail mount. A lock nut is then placed on the bottom of the mounting bolt, holding everything in place. As I've learned, the lock nut must be tightened with a wrench, in this case a socket wrench, or it won't ride over the bolt; it will be…
